4th Generation Family Owned Dry Cleaners sets to
Open Location in Downtown Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, PA February 24, 2015: Strong Fabric Care, LLC the new parent company of Strong II Dry Cleaners, LLC (dba Strong Cleaners), just signed a 3 year lease for the Grant Street Building, Suite 104. The company will operate as a “satellite” store at this location. Even though all work will be processed at its Homewood plant, the Downtown location will still offer full service fabric care: Dry Cleaning, Shirt Laundry, Leather & Suede, Furs, Alterations & Repairs, Household Items, Personal Laundry Service, and Storage. The company has not yet set an opening date, but aims for the Spring Time opening.
Strong Cleaners is a 4th Generation family owned Dry Cleaning and Laundry Service Business that was established in 1930 in Shelby, NC (moved to Pittsburgh in 1945). The company is one of a handful of Black-Owned dry cleaning plants in all of Southwestern PA.
The company’s locations are in Homewood (the Plant and storefront) and Forest Hills (store front only), with private drop sites at the Royal York Apartment Building (North Oakland) and the University Club of Pitt (Oakland). It also services a number of commercial clients in various industries, including, gyms, security companies, medical labs, cleaning companies, and more.
